I bet you're the kind of person who's too busy working to build robots, with PHP. Well, you're missing out! Over the last few years, I've built all sorts of useful robots (Internet of Things machines); to connect to virtual environments, automate my surroundings, or generally make my life easier. I found all of these could be built using little more than the familiar PHP code I was using in my 9-to-5. Join me as I show you some of the cool things you can do, with an Adruino, some useful PHP libraries, and a lot of imagination.

When working on multiple "platforms" (i.e. the camera demonstration, moving to the slides, then also desktop demo) it might be worthwhile to either emulate some sort of Picture in Picture, or use pre-recorded material instead. This allows you to more seamlessly communicate the message without the silent uhm moments.
Very insightful, and the explanations of the different components were communicated well.
This was a really interesting talk, and reminded me of my childhood when I played with technic and circuit boards. It was really interesting to see how one can easily connect a circuit board and program some things in PHP.
The only reason I didn't give this a 5/5 is because I would have liked to have seen more examplesof using the PHP libraries to get some results. Obviously the time constraints didn't help, but maybe this could work well in a workshop setting?
But overall, it was a fun talk and nice to have something a bit "different" at a PHP conference that isn't about typical day to day coding.
Mr Pitt you delivered another 6 out of 5 talk here. The camera setup was great and helpful, a perfect mix of theoretical, practical demonstrations, and as always very inspiring. I just ordered an Arduino starter kit which I'll get my daughter involved :) thanks again.
I've watched Chris's talks since his early days. His stage presence and professionalism have grown leaps.
The talk covered an interesting topic, not the usual fair, very entertaining. The complex parts were simplified well and easy to understand.

All I am saying is that the little ideas I have had in my head for a prototype finally feels within reach! Oh Arduino! What a sexy little thing! Really well explained and inspiring to say the least. Great Job! Now I can program that little mechanism that slings ping balls into the neighbors yard every-time she practices feng shui at 2am in the morning. It's a win win!
