It is said developers go through four stages:
No framework
Use a framework.
Write own framework.
No framework.
Once the cycle is complete, the developer is said to be ready. In this talk, we’ll go for stage 3, but replace it with stage 4. In other words, we’ll explain how to build our own framework, but from third party components, thus being immune to breaking changes, vendor lock, and other negative side effects of using popular frameworks.

Great talk on a interesting subject with good breakdown of cons/pros of a proposed solution.
Listening to Bruno was like listening to a good TED talk. Great presentation.
Excellent topic, really great lecture. Even though I felt there was still many things which could be said -- but time is always of the essence ;) -- the speaker discussed the key points and talked about them. It was interesting to see that it is necessary to handle this topic delicately from the social standpoint, because some might take the topic personally. But for the open-minded I believe this topic to be a goldmine of new and better understanding and future choices, and lecture that much more important -- especially because of the current developments with PSRs and what awaits the PHP down the road.
It was an interesting topic and knowledgeable speaker. And great panel discussion afterwards.
Love to hear opinionated talks from speakers that take into account that situations differ from project to project and team to team. The talk was great and the speaker came well prepared.
Great talk, brilliant speaker.
I expected Bruno to be bit more opinionated but it looks like he started mellowing out ;)
Even though the title was a clickbait (attendbait?) I wasn't disappointed!
Topic is relevant to every developer, not only PHP and it was great intro for the panel discussion.
I loved the way Bruno dived into the topic describing the shield and features he expects from his shield. Example with a wheel is also a great way to understand what Bruno was trying to say.
Even though this topic is a little bit more advanced and not every developer would understand it, it's awesome how nobody in the audience was against the idea of 'no framework framework'!
Brilliant talk with outstanding delivery.
From the structure of this talk, you could notice how well it was designed and practiced to every detail.
The disclaimer was right on point and shows how well this talks is prepared and that he has been trough many battles with it.
At the beginning, I was trying to understand why he talks about throwing veggies at him so excessively but in about 2 min he steered from veggies to analogy with shields and PHP frameworks. Brilliant attention grabber.
In general, shield and wheel analogies were great and there were few humorous points and pretty good interaction with the audience.
At the end, there was no "Use this solution because I said so" conclusion that I really liked, instead use whatever you want conclusion is really the best for this topic.
This is one hell of talk and I'm sorry that he retired it, could listen to it anytime.
A+
Fantastic presentation
Just thought I'd share a recording of his workshop at Web Summer Camp 2016 - available at http://2016.websummercamp.com/PHP/The-framework-is-dead-long-live-the-framework , so take a look. :)
Really enjoyable talk!
Good talks. The panel was interesting, especially the thoughts on future of PHP and Frameworks.
Interesting talk to see different point of view to various problems in development. Bruno prepared talk with FAQs and answers to them before starting which gave nice introduction.
Interesting presentation, I liked the comparison with non-IT examples.
Beside the fact that the title is a click bait it was actually a very well made and informative talk. I especially liked the panel at the end as hearing different points of view on this subject is very interesting.
Great talk on the subject of framework choice. Gave some interesting suggestions on the matter of framework choice, and what a framework really is and should be. Delivered in near perfect English :)
The concepts of no-framework framework and components composability based on PSRs stirred things up a bit, which was actually great, because it gave some momentum for the panel discussion that followed.
Although a somewhat advanced topic, it provided valuable insights into the world of frameworks and what to actually expect of them.
