Good overview, but I would love more code / practical example. Thanks Hannes.
Fantastic talk - well delivered, extremely knowledgeable on the subject matter.
Good luck with the NYC Marathon!
Good presentation for beginners
Thanks Hannes for all your knowledge.. Learned a lot of new stuff... Next time try to speak a little slower ;) Thanks!!!
Usefull information for experienced package builders and newbies.
Good, easy to follow, presentation with informative slides.
Now I'm finally not a package development noob anymore! Loved the talk man!
Good intro for beginners who like to get started with package development.
Talk as if you're talking in slow motion next time, then it'll actually be just right.
Thought it would be more interesting.
But very good introduction in how to build packages.
Presentation was ok.
Missed some fancy new stuff for me.
Great talk! Amazing to see how much you've grown as a public speaker. Eager to see more talks from you in the (near) future :)
Perhaps the only really small remark I'd give (like most people here) is to talk just a little bit slower. But besides that everything was perfect!
The content of this talk was top notch. Maybe it could be improved buy adding some more code examples and bringing down the pace at bit.
Useful just to go through the bullet points in the slides and for the links to the package checklist websites. I thought the pace was fine, didn't quite get the virtual package section at the end but that's something I can now research.
Great overview of the topic, by a very knowledgeable speaker. Always a pleasure to see you speaking, Hannes. Thumbs up!
There were some moments that I couldn't understand fully what you were saying. A little louder and slower talking speed would bump the quality. Smooth talk otherwise and very informative, learned quite a lot. You seem very relaxed and confident on stage, which is a big plus!
Good talk. Nothing new for me personally, but I think that people that are just starting out with packages found it extremely helpfull.
The talk was nicely broken down into increasingly more technically challenging concepts. As a speaker I have immense respect for how Hannes recovered from a somewhat slow start. In next versions of this talk I'd suggest to explore the last section a bit more, get into it deeper. This will force the ending to be a little shorter, which is ok, people should know those n00b things by now. The one things that would really need to change is the explanation of the virtual package, probably just a one time run through of the process once will give you enough knowledge to be able to remove any question surrounding this concept.
I feel this was covered well enough on last year's conference. Not very useful to our company or business, but that's just me. Good presentation overall, picked up some Composed tips along the way.
Thanks for this. Will help a lot with a package I'm thinking about releasing :)
Very interesting.
