Terry took a while to warm up, but the second half of this talk in particular was interesting and inspirational, exactly what you want from an opening keynote.
Nice to hear from Terry and catch up to what he has been doing for the past few years. He has cleaned up from keynotes of old, but this did not detract at all from his message. It was nice for Terry to integrate in all the other speakers talks to "wet peoples appetites" for the information they will get at Tek this year.
Well done opening keynote after it got warmed up. I liked the callouts to talks later in the conference, though he zipped past them so fast it was hard to see.
All-in-all, this was a good warm-up for the conference, especially when pointing out the nature of talks occurring during the next two and a half days. It took a little while for Terry to get into the central message, but he did get there and built my interest in the conference.
