Enjoyed your talk, wouldn't change a thing.
Thank you!
The talk is like a story beeing told. At a consistent pace, nicely accentuating the important parts. Enjoyed it.
I really enjoyed this talk. Been told numerous times in my career that I was hampering my progress by not focusing on only one language or playing with other languages, now I finally know that this is plain BS :-)
Sound advice with some good examples.
-1 for showing up 10 minutes late.
Great talk, an eye opener for a lot of people I think.
Perhaps next time apply for a speaking slot later on the day :)
Excellent talk, important subject! Well researched and very well presented despite the implicit hangover (meaning the speaker did not seem hung over, but most likely was). Has definitely triggered me to actively start exploring other languages.
Good talk, really enjoyed it.
Nice balance between theory/philosophy and real-life (the latter includes the hangover-y bit :P).
I liked the talk contents, but it all seemed a bit unconnected at times. The delivery was also somewhat off. I'm pretty sure I would have been highly impressed minus the hangover, so it's still a 4-thumbs up for me :-)
One improvement could be to use some images for concepts, because "one of those childrens puzzles where the image is all jumbled up and one square is open" works so much better like this: http://www.bestqualitytoys.com/files/images/thinkfunlarge/5853.jpg
A very fluent and clear message on why broadening your field helps you become better at what you do! I really enjoyed this talk. Although I'm definitely not a 1 language guy, I'm going to spend some more time on other things.
Good talk, I enjoyed it.
A couple of weeks ago I was discussing the same topic with a colleague of mine.
We both agreed this is a good way to improve and grow.
Thumbs up.
