Great talk, lots of principles to take away and use

Great talk and great delivery (even with a cough to battle through). Some really good points raised in this that will stick with me in the future.

Loved this talk. I'm conceited (or deluded) enough to think I'm on the right side of this question most of the time. Design is not someone else's job. However, instead of my usual exasperation at the lack of usability in some software (other people's, naturally!), Eryn provided both the language and practical changes required to make it better.

As one of the 2 people in the room who held their hands up as the fabled "Full Stack Devs", I was impressed by the premise that UX != UI and it applies just as much to APIs and internal tools as it does to client-facing sites. Eryn drove home the fact that you should think about the user before you think about the database tables. I really enjoyed the presentation style and you'd find it hard to argue with the content. Good food for thought and solid ideas I can share with the team.
