Everyone is writing APIs but what makes a great one? I will take you on a tour of the most important features that you should think about when creating an API. These ensure that your API plays well with HTTP and make your API a delight to maintain and work with. Give your API a competitive edge by making it great and developers will want to work with it.

Thx for pointing out all hurdles I had to overcome implementing API's. And mostly what I can do to help my own software to be a better citizen in software land.

This was an very well-structured, and well-delivered talk around the key points to be aware of, and standards and tools to use when creating APIs. It covered quite a few things that I had been meaning to learn for some time, so it was great to have them covered, saving me the time of having to find the information on my own. Well worth listening to.

Clear views on the makings of a good api that has a great DX.
Well presented and I'll try to not make you mad when using my API.

A lot of best practices how to design an API

- Clear
- To the point
- Knowledgable

You can clearly tell Rob has been doing this for a while. Even though he’s strongly opinionated towards a certain methodology, it clearly shows its “the right way to go”.

Very good tips on what to do and not to do

As always Rob delivered a perfect talk. Informative, concise and a lot of best practices. Brought in a very calm and clear way. Awesome!

Great insight into the api consumer's point odd view

Fantastic talk. Very authoritative. Something I can use as reference when designing future APIs.

A great talk!

Thanks for citing the different standards that make life so much easier as we don't need to invent the wheel (again)

Great talk and clearly presented. It covered all the important parts needed for a great API, what to be aware of, and where to find more information if needed. You can tell that Rob has a lot of practical experience with API's.

THE GOOD :

Well brought talk by a natural speaker.
Nailed the technicalities of the subject: I learned a not and I've been using / creating API's a lot.
Engaging from start to finish, with a pinch of humour mixed in between.

THE LESS GOOD :

Nothing really, however, for my personal taste I found your overall volume sometimes a bit on the low side (or it could be the sound settings). Nothing too upsetting, really :)

Well done, thanks!

As usual, Rob makes me sick with his polished informative content delivered perfectly.
