Laravel was my first serious initiation into PHP and I wouldn't have the career I do without. I was inspired hearing the history of a passion project that has managed to empower individuals to corporations to make great stuff. Always really interesting to see how he personally uses it too!

I've seen Taylor give keynotes at phpworld twice and those were both quite good and general. This keynote was completely different from his normal keynotes.

This was also probably the most technical keynote I've ever seen but it was still really good. If it was one of the regular talks that was at the same time slot as two other talks I feel like that would be a disservice to the other speakers cause this talk would make it so no one would attend the other talks. So it makes sense that it'd be a keynote in spite of being waaay more technical than most keynotes

I do not consider myself a Laravel developer, so I really appreciated learning more about how it works and accommodates different styles of development. I feel like I have a much better understanding now and could easily pick it up leveraging my knowledge of other frameworks and applying many of the same patterns I use there. And it's always great to glean those insights directly from the creator. Great talk, Taylor!

It was helpful to hear about the history of Laravel and see what is new, and to learn about Vapor. Thank you!
