Good introduction to the microservices

Cool story.

Cool story, great topic but I'm not 100% sure if the example covered in the talk was the actual case study of the project they are working on (wasnt clear on that) which made me think there are some things missing (or are being misrepresented).

Slides were bit misorganized, having facts in bottom right corner which were hard to notice. Speaker had his back turned towards the audience most of the time but for a first time conference speaker did his job pretty good, I hope he will find the will to continuosly share his experience with us in the years to come!

Good presentation on why someone should (or shouldn't) implement microservices, and an example of how to do it.

The presentation seemed a bit disjointed to me as if the speaker wasn't really presenting this production case but a simplified example. Though the tools outlined are really useful on their own in my opinion the speaker missed to explain how they work together to solve this problem. And even though containerization was mentioned the talk doesn't cover technologies like Docker swarm or Kubernetis.

I personally disliked the presentation style. The speaker had his back turned to the audience so often that it bugged me. And the slide deck, even though beautifully designed, is quite hard to read. Sometimes the speaker's contact data is in the bottom corner, sometimes the person being quoted, sometimes the name of the application displayed.

Very good overview of microservices! I found a lot of good insights and advices on best practices. I personally like that the example is a simplified version of the real story, because that makes it simple to follow different approaches without trying to grasp a more involved architecture of a complex system. I do agree with others that the speaker was turning his back to the audience too frequently, in order to point out various details on the slides. I advise using more slides with less elements, or maybe more versions of the same slides with different elements emphasised. Other than that, the delivery was great, the speaker seemed quite relaxed and casual, and wasn't disturbed by some minor technical difficulties.

A fine introduction into applied microservices, especially with the final remarks on when they might be used. I was slightly disappointed by the delivery, Marin: we prepared our talks together so I've seen you do better! Let me know if you want to discuss it. :)
Still, an overall interesting talk!
