Lively primer about usability. Even as a designer, priding myself somewhat to be aware of these things, it's always good to get an honest, down-to-earth look at usability do's and don'ts. Really dig those excellent site counterexamples :)
Excellent primer about 'usable' CSS3, straight from the trenches.
Coherent and well structured talk. Your breakdown of solution-oriented UX development makes a lot of sense. And yes, more time spent on user-test would be more than welcome. I get the sense we all understand just how great and useful user test is, but it reminds me of healthy nutritional habits: we all see the benefits, yet not many people eat right :) Having some down-to-earth, practical comments on how you go about user test within a truly iterative UX design project would be invaluable.
Very interesting, albeit short take on reporting & relationship between data and presentation, and how both can provide hints at what kind of questions to ask.
Interesting talk about the basis of our work as designers. The presenter revisited & commented common UI patterns, adding a couple of worthy consideration in the process. Useful examples & numerous refs.
Very useful, straightforward, production-oriented talk.
Good introduction to an overlooked topic. The presenter provided some useful starting points to accessibility, including some insight about users that deal with accessibility issues.
bonne conférence , pleine de bon conseils et astuces
Great speaker, but to me the presentation was a little light on content. Based on the abstract, which mentions re-architecting of a (presumably) complex application, I was expecting a little more. This being said, the concepts were very well explained and I'm sure beginners benefited from the clear examples, but to an architect this should be really basic stuff.
Great great talk, lively, inspiring and dead honest. And I say this as a designer. I'm still convinced that that darn pixel does matter, but we must find ways to be content within the boundaries of sanity. There's hope :).
Thanks!
