I liked very much the introduction and I am exited to start using the meteor. Thank you, great job!
Nice overview of the framework and how to use it to refactor existing code. Planning on doing this soon so the lessons learned will surely help.
Nice overview of Vega. I'll definitely give it a shot.
The Rails Asset Pipeline can be a daunting topic and I wasn't sure if the talk managed to unravel it for new users. However, since I've been learning about its benefits and quirks for the last couple of months the talk did clear up a few practical issues for me. The speaker was enthusiastic and knowledgable.
I'm new to Rails and Ruby itself. This talk went over my head. Yes, words like "building" and "API" in the same sentence might be a good indicator of what level of proficiency is required but the description as a whole didn't give that vibe. On top of that, the talk was rather short while it could've really used the extra time to better describe the concepts by demonstrating them in another interesting example. There was great material here, I could tell, but it didn't transfer properly.
Entertaining speaker but the clever jokes couldn't really make up for the problems with live coding. I appreciated the attempt (because successful live coding > slides) but things just weren't working out smoothly. Also, I wasn't convinced that using Titanium wouldn't cause its own, completely new, problems which is always a danger when using ambitious tools (with, apparently, draconic copyright methods).
Great overview of the importance of frontend optimization and different tools and strategies that one should use.
Entertaining talk. Good speaker. I don't think that anyone would've minded more depth, though.
speaker was engaging and fun, knew a lot about html5, loved it
