Day Camp 4 Developers #2: Telecommuting

To be honest, I was a bit afraid that we would end up with 5 talks all saying pretty much the same thing. Glad this wasn't the case and instead provided 5 different perspectives with surprisingly little overlap. Good show and the IRC channel once again proved to be very useful and informative.

If I had anything to criticize: Times were given in some obscure ;-) timezone again - UTC, pretty, please? And the lunch break (more like dinner break over here) wasn't necessary. The 15 minutes between talks are just fine. But I think Cal realized that already.

Brilliant event - great variety of perspectives and fantastic quantity of useful advice and practical information. I definitely learned a lot, and was hooked until the end (I didn't think I'd make it as I'm 6 hours behind). Thanks to all the speakers for their excellent informative and entertaining talks - and for my first time on IRC, which I'd been meaning to investigate for a while now. Thanks also Cal and Kathy for making things run so smoothly, fantastic effort all round.

Another awesome event. The format worked very well yet again. I would like to thank all the speakers for great subjects and delivery. And thanks to the other attendees who enhanced the whole experience in the irc chat room. Lots of new stuff learnt and plenty of ideas to take away and investigate. Looking forward to no. 3. Oh an thanks for the new twitter followers.

Absolutely loved this event! The other speakers did a great job. I wish I could've heard some of these talks back when I worked remotely from home. They also gave me a better insight into what can go through the mind of those that want to work from home. I can honestly say that I'd love to attend the next one. Even more surprising - I learned things that can help me do my job better and that's always a bonus!

Nice job to all those involved and the organizers!

My first virtual conference and it was excellent. The irc backchannel made it work really well as there's real-time commentary and explanations for when you need to understand the speaker's point a bit better.

Awesome event! learned lots and will want to go back re-watch more then a few sessions.
