Really enjoyed getting some hands on experience with FireFox OS
The talk seemed to lack focus, a lot of '...and stuff, so... anyway' things in there that didn't really carry me.
Was disappointed by the lack of non-gaming applications which were implied in the description.
The speaker wasn't bad, but the talk focused a lot on implementation details of an actual example, with a lot of code. While I like seeing code, I would like to see them more tailored to explain specific concepts, and leave out the parts of the code that aren't relevant to that feature.
On the plus side, the speaker answered questions very well.
Very nice presentation, gave a clear idea of how backbone, stackmod and require.js all work together, and how it helps clear up the code, in a very compact timeframe.
Not knowing anything about Titanium, I learned a lot about the platform and I have a good understanding of how it would apply. Good speaker and a very fluent narrative.
Still not completely convinced that Titanium is the best model for mobile app development out there - I'm weary of the buy-in on the Titanium interface - but for short-term, throwaway/campaign products it would work very well.
I came hoping to get some well thought out advice on what devices should you currently be testing on and best practices for testing and this speaker certainly delivered.
Some tools (like Edge Inspect, Ghostlab and browserlabs) and best practices were introduced and a lot of attention was given to open device labs.
As for the qualities of the speaker, he appeared very calm and knowledgable. Maybe for a change this speaker can try to be more animated?
One thing I would have liked to hear more on is best practices across Open Device Labs.
Not a real experienced speaker (yet). Try to say less "ehh" and work on you Dutch accent. Would have liked to see some live demos instead of screenshots.
Great talk! Really opened my eyes to whats possible if you put your mind to it!
