The subject was a nice example on how it should be everywhere, but in real life it is hard to include everyone in a project to make this a success.
Still an good talk

Nice talk, the speaker wasn’t the most engaging I’ve seen, so the laugh out loud wake up call I was hoping for wasn’t quite there. The examples were fairly simple, a few were nostalgic but overall not much to learn.

Thijs is a great speaker, obviously. He made some great points and overall it was inspiring but at some point I did feel it was a bit long and going into his successes by trying a bit too much, I’d say keep the examples short and clear. I’d also agree with Marieke that it was less inclusive than it could have been. Of course you write/speak about what you know but not every one at the conference will be a speaker at such conferences someday. It left me feeling a little like I’d be underperforming if I didn’t try as hard to be really successful (197 talks in 15 countries!). There are many ways to progress, many roles to play, that don’t all include the same methods of finding opportunities. With a bit of tweaking and more examples aimed at different type of people of controlling the variables, it could be very inspiring for a wide audience.

Proper crafted talk. The video bits were edited perfectly and used very well. Thijs has an amazing stage presence; even in front of the full group he's comfortable. The talk was funny, touching and with great messages to send us off.

Good insights illustrated by both the kids and experiences with users.

Great speaker, well prepared, great ideas in how to be better at communication to get a good outcome where everybody is happier. Excellent role playing all by himself.

Very good, game changing information. Kenneth has a collected stage presence and radiates calmness. What would make this a 5/5 for me is a better close. A summary, a call to action and a nice one liner to send us off or something :) Would love to see on a proper conference stage some time.

Nice intro to Gitlab, it made me want to try it and those are the best talks.

Very nice, loved that the speaker gave some info at the start about the target audience, but in spite of me being a quite experienced tester I stuck with it and don’t regret it. The speaker said he was quite nervous but it was hardly noticeable, very nice speaking skills and good info.

Very nice insights in the value of soft skills and how to apply them in your day to day job.
