The talk made me want to employ all the cool stuff Johann showed as soon as possible ;) The presentation was funny, fast paced and still got all the technical points across.

Great talk, lots of interesting points about the "new" php environment and many "in case of doubt do it like that" practices for creating open procjects that also make it a lot easier to understand the structe of the projects you can find on github.

For improving the presentation I'd suggest getting a presenter so you don't have to look away from the audience as often. Also it would allow you to point to specific lines of code much easier than trying to do so with your hands. The presentation its self wasn't as fluent as it could have been but all the points where made clear and understandable at a very nice pacing that kept me interested for the whole hour.

but to be honestly... I did not use jQuery intensively enough to follow all your secrets or realize their potential.
maybe the book you mentioned is just right for me.

Good overview of some advanced features. The speech would have benefitted from examples, live demos... as already stated. A demonstration of a live bisect or an interactive rebase would have been great. And it would have filled the hour easily then.

Presented a bit on the slow side, personally I like to have things a bit pacier, but the content was ok.

Thanks Johann, definitely was one of the best speeches I attended this year. It was very entertaining and showed us some technologies and methods we want to and will adopt.

Very sad I have missed this one. The speech from Monday was excellent. I definitely should have attended this workshop. Any chances to see some writings (slides, exercises, examples) from this workshop anywhere online?
