When the pre-existing plans do not work, the steps outlined should help dramatically: Stop. Make a plan. Have someone run interference. Fix the problem. Automate the it away. Add a note to include more source code when telling the story.
Kidding about that last part.
Fantastic talk! I almost forgot it wasn't the keynote.
(I also loved the slide typography and use of Oxford commas)
This was a great talk for me today; if I had a time machine and could drag my 10-years-younger self to this it would have been life-changing.
Great talk on both dealing with technical problems, and communication problems. Could be a keynote. Very polished delivery.
Went in with no expectations, came out really enjoying the talk. Thanks!
Great automated example of how to clean up code.
Great challenge to the common use of explicit loops in our interpreted languages. +1 for anticipating my question about performance.
Awesome coverage of the subject of pushing change from the ground up. Well focused on the core audience with expert delivery.
Terrifying. Also, the topics Keith brought up were a bit frightening too.
Funny presentation. Shared some useful tools and ways to use them.
