Arguably the gem of the conference for me. The sheer volume of take-away amazed me. The vacuum in my development scared me. The fact that I do some of this already (but not nearly enough) reassured me.
Rethinking Loops? I was expecting another talk on the humorously named IteratorIterator. What I got instead was astonishing - nothing less than chaining built in array processors to completely remove loops.
By the time this talk finished, I had enabled xDebug in MAMP and actually gotten a modicum of debugging in MacGDBp. Though I had some troubles, they were not because of the presentation. The mere fact that I got as far as I did was a credit.
Thanks for the excellent information. As an overview, this covered a lot of territory. The discussion of WP and its remote capabilities was good, but I found myself wanting more detail about the REST plugin than the history of XML-RPC and Admin Ajax, informative as it was.
Some interesting perspectives on PHP7, expressed in the presenter's opinions on the most interesting items in the talk's categories.
Was good getting the view of OAuth2 from the provider's perspective. I appreciated the breadth of data presented, and the depth of experience the presenter brought.
Thanks for braving it out.
Spot on, the insight on how and why of decoupling will be really helpful for me moving forward.
I liked the idea and the slides were great. The concept of looking back at were we came from and applying that to were we are is brilliant, however the delivery seemed rushed and unprepared. With some polish and more deliberate presentation this could be a winner.
Really good talk. Engaging and liked the setup. Various specific problems and the answers.
Taking up the Rabbi's mantel. This renewed my desire to contribute.
