Talk comments

Great talk. I liked the sprinkle of images and jokes to keep me interested in the subject matter.

Good talk. Pacing seemed a bit off, maybe a byproduct of the fast talking, but there were some solid nuggets of goodness.

And the jokes were okay.

If Cal says he paid attention, it must have been an excellent talk. This was a really good talk/coverage of how to do mocking in PHPUnit. I think that Matt needed a bit more caffiene beforehand however. There were a few stumbles, and going back-n-forth that made it 'not as smooth' as it could be.

HOWEVER that did not hurt the excellent content AT ALL.

Very good talk, good overview of what's available, and good example in the end. I do think that it went a little long in the tooth on the 'history' and SAPI information. Versus just diving into the "HERE'S WHAT YOU CAN DO".

Personal note: Would have been nice if it had shown how to 'just do it', using raw PHP and getopt, etc. As an extra example. Perhaps "Here's the raw way" now "Here's how this framework makes it easier"

Great job.

Actually paid attention this time and learned a lot. Good talk. :)

Good info on gotchas - more diagram examples would be nice

Good overview of database design and normalization. Would have enjoyed hearing about the different NF levels, but that's probably more detail than required at this level. Thanks, Brian!

Great talk, maybe less bellybutton lint. ;) No really, please stay on that slide for less time.

Enjoyed the light-hearted intro describing the WordPress conflict and really appreciated the insight to what you do to keep WordPress updated on your own terms.
