I’m excited to put what Larry discussed into practice. Of course we first need to get up to version.
This was a very interesting talk that gave me a lot to chew on. It’s definitely a complex (at least in my mind) concept, but after having a talk with Tim I feel pretty good about how we can use this. I particularly appreciated that this talk was not framework-centric.
The talk boils down to "new technologies are cool, but we should make sure that we're not using the new hotness just for the sake of using it"—this shouldn't be a hot take, but here we are. I appreciate Chris' reasonable approach to process and technology, and his presentation style is excellent.
There was a lot of great information in this session, presented in a way I hadn’t thought to consider before. A very useful perspective.
It was a little difficult to follow at times, because it is so complex and Damien is such a subject matter expert trying to cover so much information quickly.
I had a lot of good takeaways in how I should examine how we are typing things.
This really paired well with Ben’s talk. The detailed explanations really added a lot of value and were clear to follow. This is another one that I’d really like to make mandatory viewing for anyone whose API we are consuming.
I loved this refocusing on the basics, and adding solid clarity around the “newer” aspects that fewer people currently implement. Our team all agreed we would love to sit some of our api partners down and make them listen to every word.
Very engaging and well delivered, as always.
Fantastic talk. I walked out with some key new tools for metrics (hadn’t used phpmd before).
The examples were clear and the delivery was very engaging.
Loved the testing geometry. The concepts here are really sounds and apply well in practice. Well delivered as always, and I haven’t gone to the QR code but I think yes 100% on teaching the presentation style and on the book. Hopefully I’ll remember to go to the forms but wanted to put it here in case…
I really enjoyed this presentation. I loved the irony of the name coming before the awareness of the package, as I picked it to attend because of the idea of learning the secret sauce behind event sourcing. Now I need to research the package!
The stress on audit trails and recovery really resonates well.
I always enjoy Andy’s talks. He’s an excellent presenter and has a keen ability to deliver material in an easy-to-understand way.
