Great talk with a good coverage of the most important changes coming in PHP 5.3
Aral really is an energetic speaker full of positive energy. It was a real pleasure hearing and seeing him talk. And he really motivates you with his message that it shouldn't be perfect the first time round. Built it and then refactor, is better than never building it because of the it-has-to-be-prefect-presure you put on yourself! Have fun with what you do or do something else.
Thank you for this talk, have taken it home.
It was a real pleasure to see Sebastian do his talk. He took his time explaining the upcoming features on a detailed basis and even talked about traits which was very interesting!
Pretty technical compared to the other talks, which I appreciated but may have lost some of the audience. Some cool visualisations that I think could be improved on to pull the rest of the crowd along. More concrete examples of what approaches work on different datasets would have been interesting. Did get me thinking about some of our own stuff though, so was definitely worth attending.
The pun definitely worked and the presentation flowed nicely. The real world examples were great, but I would have like to have seen more detail on them and I think there would have been time to do that. Likewise, with the Symfony platform... but maybe that's the point, I want to go and find out more now!
Solid subject and Stuart knows what he's talking about. He's got a knack for making things accessible but still interesting at different levels. Could have done with a bit more polish to give it more of a story, but I know that was down to time rather than skill!
Great opener, woke me up! Aral has crazy enthusiasm for his subject backed it up with solid geek credentials and it really set an ideal tone for the rest of the conference.
Awesome, very inspiring. If the video turns out well I'm gonna play it for all my coworkers who couldn't be there.
Very good talk, too bad it was at the end of the day, since it probably required more concentration than all other talks. Maybe it would help to insert some short intermissions, a picture, a joke, a recap of what we've seen so far, just to give people time to catch their breath, since this type of talk requires the audience to stay focused from start to end.
Stuart really tried, and succeeded in telling the message that you should give frameworks a shot. It really doesn't matter which one you pick, as long as it suits your needs. Different frameworks provide different solutions all with positive and negative sides. And he discussed all of them and made the public interact with the presentation.
Great talk
