Jessica's presentation style is natural and upbeat, perfect for compelling the attention of the audience, even for the "hangover keynote".
Very thought provoking content, and just enough audience participation to keep my focus.
Top marks from me.
Good things to hear. Very few of us are bad by design, but can be bad through ignorance. Very complex subject and difficult to treat but always worthwhile exploring. Best thing is just to speak about it and raise awareness like it's been done on this well articulated and enjoyable talk.
Good balance of information and humor.
Great use of examples and well explained.
Great talk. I am just not sure it was the right way to start to the conference.
Fast-paced talk with lots of references and examples. Thanks for your time and knowledge, Matthew!
Very interesting presentation, especially from an architecture point of view.
Another great keynote, it was interesting to see the hard challenges that you face as a large project runner. It was interesting to get the diplomatic tips and how to keep people engaged with the project, and how that fits in with the wider conversation we're having in the community about what constitutes acceptable behaviour.
My only criticism is that it felt like there wasn't a real structure to the talk, it felt more like a stream of consciousness list, sometimes I think that works really well, this time I feel it worked less well.
I've been doing lots of work with Elastic Search recently which uses some of these techniques, however I've never had a peak inside the black box before. Interesting and at just the right level for me.
I think I probably want to learn more about this now!
Excellent keynote. Good balance of information and humour to keep us interested and awake at the start of the day! A topic it would seem most of us can relate to in some way, so very much needed. Useful examples and advice made it accessible. American accent wasn't distracting. Ended a little abruptly, but otherwise brilliant, thank you!
