The speaker gave an overview about PHP api documentation, which clearly showed his knowledge of those tools. He then gave an overview on the new tool phpDox, its API and extension points.
The talk was nice, and I liked the discussion of the speaker with manuel in the audience, showing that the author uses existing tools to not re-invent the wheel. Yet the speaker did not really gave concrete examples of the need to have yet another php documentation tool. The motivation was a bit vague.
Mal eine ganz neue Idee die ich in der Form noch nicht gekannt habe. Zwar hatte ich das Gefühl, dass die Speaker über die wahre Intention des Talks nicht so hunderprozentig informiert waren, aber das hat den Spaß für den Zuschauer nur erhöht. Auch wenn Kris' Vortrag themathisch nicht getrumpft werden konnte hat gerade die Vielfalt den von Carola gewünschten Aha-Effekt sicher nicht nur bei mir hervorgezaubert.
The talk presented a very good overview of the reasons why the use of Singletons should generally be discouraged and presented good alternatives.
Sehr sympathische und offene Präsentation verschiedener Techniken - auch trotz der kurzen Zeit wurden wesentliche Features und Techniken zur Lastverteilung besprochen, inklusive persönlicher Bewertung und klar erkennbarer Struktur. So stelle ich mir einen informativen und unterhaltsamen Talk vor.

Great talk: clear message, clear story through the entire presentation and lots of interesting topics touched. The speakers always linked tools and software changes with real-world results - really enjoyed the talk.
