Great talk. Good descriptions of the new features of PHP 7 as well as covering what's being removed.

A little over the top on speaker enthusiasm perhaps, but I think I still came away with a decent appreciation for what PHP 7 brings. It's all about run performance. New features are nice, but existing sites run just fine without. And, in my opinion, it sounds like the gotcha's are the main hurdle to speeding adoption, with performance being the carrot to get there. That's just my take.

Good talk. Thanks.

This talk clearly covered how to use new features in PHP 7 and what may break when upgrading. After this talk I am very excited to get started with PHP 7.

All-around excellent talk.

Run-time performance would appear to be PHP 7's main selling point and reason for enthusiasm. That's a good thing, and this talk gave us good information. However, the TITLE of this talk is what got me thinking: Writing better code with newer versions of PHP. My production environment is PHP 5.3. It's the small unexpected takeaways that make a talk, or a whole conference, great.

Good overview of new features in PHP7 and examples of when/how to use them. I knew a lot of what was presented but I took away a few new insights that will help me get started with writing specifically for PHP7.

I thought this was very well done. Packed a ton of material into a short talk. Just the right amount of time spend on each item and the pacing was good.
