The history part gave a good perspective on how we got here. The keynote itself was amusing and the WS-DeathStar slide was a top moment.
However, I felt that the predictions final segment was not cohesive and presented together lots of different concepts without an unifying story.
This micro-services trend is as good as predictable to me; we discovered now, 40 year after Unix, that doing little thing that does only a (good) job is the key to build flexible systems.
Sam is not exactly a showman; sometimes I think Sam could have been more effective during the telling of the story, but I can't say he didn't say the truth about this topic.
Last part was a bit unclear to me too, but probably was my lack of knowledge in this field.
The first part was a very nice and interesting overview, sort of "back to basics" and history review. I really enjoyed the "basic unix principle" quotes and WS-* moment. The second part, technical one was a little boring and outdated: PaaS, Mesos and its ecosystem was "new" 2 years ago. It's already there, not upcoming. Didn't really get the point on it. If it were a talk i would have rated 4/5 stars, but not for keynote.
Interesting talk about the history of Microservices. I appreciated a lot the fact that the first microservices has been created with Linux Pipes :-) The simplicity is the key of all great architectural patterns.
What I felt the missing in this keynote is the link between microservices and features/agile teams. I think that this architectural pattern favorite feature teams and incremental product delivery.
An interesting speech, even funny. I would have appreciated a focus on how ms. can strenghten agile features-team but also create harmful components-team and how this might depend or not by their size

Interesting and enlightening survey of one of the topics most discussed nowadays.
I didn't know a thing about this, and I liked. It was inforamative and fun.
Nice and entertaining overview, maybe too much focus on tools at the end.
Interesting but, in my opinion, too far from "agile" concepts to be the right keynote for this event.
