Containers, VMs, and the Future of the Cloud

Cool concepts... never knew about this stuff.

The speaker spent too much time on virtualization before getting to containers. I would have love to learn how to get started with containers. An example of a small container.

Wow, that was an exceptional talk! As a developer, I do not get into system administration much deeper than I have to, so this was a lot of really good information to point me in the right direction. Thanks so much!

The talk was way too much of a sales pitch on containers for the first 40 minutes. Way too long introduction.

I would have appreciated a much higher technical level on how to use it and how to make containers.

So, so much information. I'll have to watch it again to get my head around some of the concepts.

I especially liked the history intro in the beginning for VM and container usage over the years.

Would love to see more execution, but was a great overview/intro talk overall.

Fantastic talk, my favorite one of the day thus far. David plowed right into the depths of containers and I was left feeling dizzy, and giddy. Taking notes and learning about a bunch of new things I need to go research and learn.

One thought though is I would really like to see something like "here is my PHP application" and then going through the process of putting that in a container and running on top of vagrant or something. This may not be realistic for the time allowed though.
