Loved this talk!! So much fun stuff, tons of potential. My only complaint was not with the talk itself, but with whoever was deciding to switch between the camera and the presenter's slides on the screens. They often switched away from a slide after only a few seconds, or switched away from the demo so we couldn't see what his gestures were actually accomplishing. The talk itself was fantastic.
This was an awesome talk, showing a lot of the cool gadgets we have all been drooling over lately. I'd really love to see more fun and lively keynotes like this at ZendCon in the future. You could tell David is genuinely passionate and excited about the various technologies he showed us, and he managed to easily keep everyone in the audience engaged the entire time.
Very engaging talk about the state-of-the-art devices available today and what we can look forward to as they become ubiquitous and entirely open for developers to work with. A refreshing change of subject that helped kick the day off nicely.
Very entertaining, he is very passionate and very knowledgeable about where technology is at. I like to keep up to date on new devices coming out, but he actually buys all those devices and tinkers with them!
I am sorry but I don't like tie die (I don't even know how to spell it), it makes me crazy but despite the tie die... This man is a great speaker.
This talk was awesome bridging the past from C64 and further back to crazy android based flying machines controlled with a phone.
David brought out the geeky inner child in the entire audience. We watched, enthralled with child like wonder, thinking things like "Could you imagine being a kid today having your own affordable remote control flying machine with cameras and programmable activators", and begs the question "What amazing things will our children create using these kind of technologies?"
ps. Did you work on Borland 3.5 (still my favourite C++ IDE)?
This was one of the best keynotes I've seen in ages - not only are the gadgets awesome and drool worthy, but the general overview of where computing has come from and where it is going is both awe inspiring and insightful
(and anyone who starts a talk with "I was programming in Fortran and assembly" rocks)
The presentation was good and had some good energy to it. The discussions around current devices was definitely interesting and probably nudged some people to buy a few of the new toys.

While this presentation is full of a lot of cool concepts for devices and programming devices. It wasn't clear what the focus was.

Would have enjoyed seeing the classic gadgets of old alongside all the new toys.

I imagine this was like CES if it was held on one presenters desk. More electronics were tossed around in this presentation than an Asiana flight.
I didn't really get it. I guess I'm not that kind of developer.
