Alice & Bob: public key cryptography 101

I've learned a lot of new things about cryptography. A subject that i was eventually not very interrested in. However, during the talk i kinda got interrested a bit more. I did sometimes lost track of the subject, because of the inceptions that i've heard. Cryptography is a larger subject in our daily work than we actually realise ourselves, so thats why i think that its good for everybody to learn more active about its possibilities and offcourse also its limitations.

You want to see this talk if you are not really sure what cryptography can do for you.

Signed by me. Trust me.

Very good introduction, nice pacing.

We all should be (consciously) using cryptography more on the web. Explanation of the working and the advantages of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) made everyone (once again) aware of why we should use it.

That being said, contact me so we can enlarge the web-of-trust!

Great introduction to cryptography brought in a clear, understandable and funny way

What caroganet said! :-)

Also it reminded me of 'De Geit Is Gemolken' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jtnu-T1NdM, Dutch)

Really good introduction to encryption. Easy to follow and understand.

Great 101 talk from a great speaker. Nice! Would love to hear Joshua speak again with a somewhat more in depth talk. :)

Great talk introducing cryptography to the audience.

In my personal opinion, it could be improved with two slides:
1- A slide dedicated to mention different encryption methods throughout history (maybe a quick overview of pro's and con's of each). This was briefly mentioned during the talk or maybe the questions but a slide with it would certainly help.
2- A bit of history: it is clear that it originates from the fact that we don't want Pink Floyd to read everything we write, but what about the gap between that first moment and now? It is just history but it would help to give the talk as a whole a better context on why it is so important.

Effortlessly delivered and a very, very good introduction into cryptography, at least for me. I now really "get" how the public-private key works where I never bothered about it (enough to find out) before.

Nice intro into cryptography, from the very basics to some more advanced stuff.
Good pace and clear presentation

A great intro into a subject that I really need to read more about.
Joshua is a clear and engaging speaker who really knows his stuff :-)

Good intro, surprisingly funny. The first half was very good, the second wandered a bit, maybe tighten it up a little.
