Sheeri's talk went into great detail over the EXPLAIN command. I now know what each of the fields mean. She also had a couple of great tips for working with MySQL on the command line.
The message of getting out there and being heard is a great one. Jennifer's lesson of getting out there and being heard is a great one.
This was a very informative presentation. Being relatively new to reading headers, this presentation has helped me understand what I am looking at. The tools that were mentioned will definitely make debugging RESTful APIs.
Data is king. How can you know where you are going without knowing where you've been. Good talk that covers the need to collect data on where your project is so you can go forward.
Good talk. Coverage of the various methods, advantages, disadvantages, and issues with deployment with real world experience.
Like this talk and have always agreed with the manifesto - I think it impacted the way the "next generation" of PHP tools has developed. Would love to hear a bit more thoughts on the direction that PHP is now headed. I do have to disagree a bit with learning how the "guts" of the things you use work - even PHP or apache. Just knowing the basics help as much as knowing the basics of PHP while using a framework ;)
Some good information for those who spend a lot of time on mysql - would have liked to see some demos but understand the "technical difficulties" involved with a borrowed laptop
Journey is an excellent way to start the day - enjoyed the information (wish we had better sound) and the message was great
Great talk!
This was a great talk. Ed explained a lot of the issues when choosing a current full-stack framework when you only need a few select components to achieve your goal.
