I can't imagine a talk getting more informative (and fun) as this.
entertaining and informative talk, thanks for that.
Like always amazing talk! I would really like the idea of a central repository with interfaces for command bus implementations.
Every time I think I'm making progress in my own speaking style, I watch Ross speak and get reminded how far I have to go.
A beautifully written and delivered talk that was both informative and entertaining. Really helped me to understand what problems a command bus solves, why and how to use one and the patterns involved.
It's at times like this I wish I could give more than 5 thumbs up.
Really awesome talk, with great slides and a humorous presentation style that not distract from the very informative content. I really liked how you made the transition to command buses feel natural as an evolution from the original code and worth the real-life message analogies. Thanks for the great talk!
the presentation was all show and it was hard to learn anything from it - although the info given was probably very interesting, due to the many laughs and fast way of presenting it, I surely missed a lot...
maybe next time less show and more relaxed explaining of the topics?
Great talk on a really nice topic. However I'd reduce the speaking speed.
Great talk Ross, I liked the comedy a lot. You did a great job at dissecting and reducing all this command (handler, bus) stuff to the absolute basics, then moving up a few steps towards a discussion about reusable libraries and plugins.
Great talk, for me the speed of the talk was just perfect, and some humor in it never hurts.
Keep it up
Absolutely amazing talk, good speed and personally I would have liked this as the keynote!
Greatly entertaining and informative.
Good show and informative stuff - thanks!
Great talk, informative and fun at the same time!
Awesome talk! The beginning was absolutely brilliant, and the talk itself was very informative and taught me everything I needed to know about getting started with a command bus, which is something we will be doing at work in the very near future!
By far the best talk of the conference as far as I'm concerned.
The ultra fast talking speed might be a little difficult to follow for some, but it was an absolutely great talk: clear, informative, interesting... and lots of fun. Awesome work.
When discussing the highlights of the conference with Nikolas Martens over beers this evening we both agree that "The Story Of Store" packing up his parenthesis, punctuation and little arrow was the funniest gag of the conference.
Joking aside, the talk quickly moved into concepts and finished in practicality. I disagree with other comments around speed of delivery. I enjoyed the pace and I think it allowed you to cover the material in the right depth.
Highly entertaining and informative. Well explained with clear slides.
I especially liked how the story was set up and how it all fitted together in the end.
Best talk I attended this year :)
Ross knows how to talk and how to keep the attention of the attendees.
It was a pleasure to listen to this talk. It felt very light, but in the end you learn a lot.
The fact that you did not mention CQRS too much was very pleasant.
The real world example was a good way to show the use cases of Commands etc.
This was brilliant. The first section was just incredible, and really set out the problem space, in an awesome amusing way. Really awesome. Favourite talk this conference.
Best talk of the conference! Way to engage the audience and delivery a nice way to make complex applications a little less complex by making intentions clearer.
I really like how you linked commands to user intent. I've never thought about it in those terms but its a very clear advantage. I'm going to steal that :)
As usual, Ross delivered a fantastic talk, being able to explain a rather complex subject in a very clear and straightforward way. I left the session with a good understanding of Command Buses, excited to try them in my next project.
It was very entertaining. The only thing I could suggest is to try slowing down just a little bit - I know speed is part of his speaking style, but might be a bit hard for non-native English speakers to understand.
For me, the perfect balance between, fun, informative, clear example code and perfect delivery.
By far the best talk I've been to. I encountered the concept of a Command Bus several times, but this made the practical application clear. The way Ross presents his talks is brilliant and lots of fun!
Very entertaining!! And informative too ;)
For me this was the best talk on the conference.
Both fun, interresting and relevant.
If there is a video of this talk, I would love to get ahold of it.
