Talk comments

For someone trying to get their feet wet in TDD, this was an inspirational talk. Very motivating and engaging. There were good questions asked by the audience and knowledgable answers from the presenter that enhanced my understanding of how the methodology can be effectively applied. Great work, thank you for your time and efforts.

Its good to know that the struggle is real outside of the office! Its very difficult to make refactoring interesting, but I am pleased to know that there are others out there that tackle a rough code base and come away with success. I know what it is like to spend a lot of time on a project, only to see it replaced the next year. Kudos for all the work you did in your scholarship app, and kudos for sharing so well how you improved so much on a very flawed system.

Lots of good Laravel stuff here. I have an introductory knowledge of the framework, and this went further in explaining how some key things worked that I have not yet jumped into with both feet. It was a lot of material to cover, but the git branches and prep work helped a lot with the ability to follow along and dig deeper into the material after the session. One of the takeaways I went away with is that I have a lot of work to do in getting this framework down, but I can accomplish it one piece at a time. Great session, thank you for your efforts.

I enjoyed the comparisons between TDD and BDD. We are trying to gain traction in our organization for practices like these and this was immensely helpful. I enjoyed the git pushes during the talk. This allowed me to keep up and run the tests myself, without focusing so much on synchronization issues and spending time typing. Awesome work, thank you for your efforts.

Good topic, did learn about several new libraries to add to my NodeJS stack. Slide design needs to be reviewed, even up close the slides were unreadable due to color and font. The idea of hands on testing for the group would have been cool but understandable about the shipping. Nice you put that in the slide, stuff happens. I do like the fact you wanted to put more effort into this talk and I think next time it will be much better.

Looking into Docker already, this was a great use case of how it can be leveraged. Enjoyed the talk, thank you.

Expanded my view of how to use Docker and solved a problem I didn't know I had yet. Clear examples, great presentation.

Well done, good use of slides and zingers to keep the audience's attention.

Great topic and very well articulated. Would like to see less content on the slides so it is easier to read from back :) The review of code and how to address it is a very nice add to this discussion.

Very nice example of using docker, liked seeing the process that was gone through to arrive at the best command line use.
