Matt did great talking through practical approaches to handling growth and scale. Added some good developer humor in it and kept it real.
The interactive coding was a great practicum for us to play around with the concept.
Well argued, good examples. I like the idea, but I'm not sure how well it plays out in practice. Something I'd like to try when I can.
I don't really use DBALs but it was neat hearing about the challenges of supporting a bunch of different solutions with disparate features. Like I'm sure OmniPay is plagued by the same issues, Flysystem, etc.
Great message, great energy. This is what you want as an opening keynote.
Lots of good material, including some GitHub and Composer features that were new to me despite already maintaining several packages. Looks like I have follow-up tasks to do.
My one constructive recommendation is that the first half of the session kinda dragged. Perhaps that's just because I'm already a maintainer, but it felt like some parts had more discussion than they warranted.
Really fun and helpful content, definitely appreciate the audience participation elements
Thanks for this talk. The examples he showed and the presented strategies were very helpful for me.
Good content, I think it could use more focus on how to handle burn out on the individual level, beyond just relying on the agile philosophy
An enjoyable and very informative guide to test sites and really think about security from all levels for a site.
