Dereks a great speaker, every talk I've been to by him has been well presented and interesting, this one didn't fall short of expectations, the topic was quite heavy and you had to think constantly during the talk on what was happening on screen, but this is good as it shows genuine engagement.

Topic gave a good insight to the internal workings, found it strange at first the way some loops are processed (jumping to the end then to the start if condition not met) but now makes sense

Thanks for the insight!

Talk was well put across and gave a good idea of what could be achieved for little upfront setup time, would have liked to delve into the alerts and other areas a bit more, but has given me enough to download and learn graylog.

Sure PHP Boycott has learned that when your done, offer questions then wrap up, don't always have to fill the time to the dot :)

Good insight to Google Cloud and how it can handle requests, great use of firebase and visualisation for the live demo, glad the wifi worked! Some info gained on how to maximise use on what you have before asking for more, limits are there for a reason!

James is clearly interested and passionate about this topic, and his experiences and frustrations are shared with many in this field, thought the talk was good as it broke down the understanding of each sub topic and his quest for better feedback and how to handle new features whilst preventing feature rot. Good talk all round and well presented

Whilst Ben is an interesting speaker (heard him before) in my opinion the choice of topic for a keynote wasn't great. The topic was slow and difficult to get into, should have been a bit more lively and thought provoking about the positive future that many of the developers in the audience have ahead of them. Felt like a history lesson first thing in the morning, just didn't work for me.

I found this entertaining, but it did unfortunately miss out some of my favourite python sketches.

Overall, I think a little bit more focus on the message between the clips would make this more universally appreciated.

Fantastic. A great closing to the weekend.

This talk gave a good presentation of PHP history and reminded us just how many sites rely on PHP but I felt there was quite a bit missing from the what would the world be like without PHP side of the talk.

I wonder if the talk would be better if generalised to 'A world without open source', this topic may enable a better contrast and provide a more inspirational talk for a keynote.

Great overview on what security controls to use to prevent the most common vulnerabilities.
