A great and engaging talk. Was nice to see an actual real world example with a problem to solve, especially with the context of the talk. Code examples were well explained and made me go away knowing that I have a solution on the problem if ever it occurred.
My only recommendation would be to slow down slightly when talking.
Great company, great food and an all round fantastic night.
Watching Derick is always enjoyable. Although this was very low level, it gave me enough to walk away from to look at books to learn from this talk further. Slides were clear and highlighted to give ease of following around.
If you want to get an understanding of PHP under the hood, then I suggest you watch out for this talk...
An enjoyable talk and presentation with live demo's! John was engaging with the audience and although I have just started with Docker myself, there was a few things I took away from the talk and immediately discussed with people straight after the talk.
I really enjoyed this talk and was great to hear the experiences Antonis had, however the only thing I would suggest is to relax and not put yourself down throughout the talk; it is hard to do this as I am the same when I talk...
I've only heard about content security policies over the past month or so, so it was nice to see a talk on it. The talk was informative and was nice to hear experiences Matt and his team had in which he gave advice on when you would and wouldn't use it, the history and the possible future. Questions were answered confidently and honestly.
As someone who dips in and out of Fig, it was nice to hear about FIG 3.0. The fact that you only hear the drama, even when trying to avoid it, it was nice to know that the tech part was dealt with more at 97%.
Michael was enthusiastic, which was nice to see after all the crap these people have to deal with when trying to help a language and its community have a standardised approach to code implementation.
Thank you Michael, and thank you to everyone involved in the FIG!
Covered the basics which are easy to forgot and were given out as a handy set of rules. Chris also went further into modern day password handling about password managers and how they integrate into web sites. Questions were answered well with good examples where required.
Being someone who is just getting into CI/CD, this talk was great. It was well delivered and the questions were answered confidently along with knowledge and experience.
I had 3 questions written down in my notebook and throughout the talk, each was answered.
Since last year, after Skoop's ending keynote, I have been wondering if the organisers would be able to top the ending keynote... and they did. It was nice to see the message of mental health being made aware again and the speaker giving his experience of it.
Gary is a credit the PHP community, as are others, but the honesty from start to finish was great to hear. I could relate to most of what he was saying and felt honoured to know him and have had the opportunities to chat to him.
Gary, thank you. I look forward to seeing and talking to you again, very soon I hope.
ps/ can only give 5/5 :(
