The look at statistics and things that wouldn't be around was eye-opening, Ben is a charismatic and engaging speaker.
The in-joking was a little off-touch for me at times, but overall the talk was enjoyable.
Very good talk was a little hard to follow the screen was tiny and dark none the less I got a lot out of it.
Learned a lot about some functions and areas of PHP that I didn't know existed!
Liked the comparison from PHP 5.X to 7.X in things added and removed.
It was a little dry in areas - but that could largely be due to the more technical nature of the content.
good talk served as a good introduction to slim and PSR 7.
The speaking style was entertaining, well paced and confident. It made following along incredibly easy as it was very engaging.
The live demo was really cool, and the comparisons to large-scale apps and how easy it can be to scale that big was really neat.
Was an interesting talk I would have preferred a little less theory and more code or examples to help drive the point home.
Loved the real-world implementation of the middleware and the journey through how it helped an app that's in use. I always find that so much easier to follow than abstract implementations that are vague.
Well presented, and linked to some cool Slim PHP Packages that I'll definitely be checking out!
David's knowledge around Docker is incredible. The pacing was enough to keep it moving, but not so fast that I didn't feel I could keep up.
Loved the demo of Docker Swarm at the end involving multiple laptops in the room!
Really enjoyed this talk. Educational and funny.
One word: surprisingly good. Fair enough that's two words. As an fanboy of AWS I thought let's see (and laugh) at the competition. The speaker was an inspirational speaker, the google app engine definitely has a use case and solve problems in a very different way in comparison how we use AWS.
