I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only person in the audience getting drawn into this talk further and further, right up to the final sucker punch at the end. What a note to end the conference on.
Brilliant delivery. Brilliant content.
It covered some hard-hitting ideas and rather than trying to shy away from them, Chris brought them out into the open and really made you think about what you might do in a similar situation to the ones in the examples.
Chris' delivery was on-point. The timing, emphasis and delivery was as good as they come.
A talk designed to make you think, and it really did that. A fantastic way to round off the conference.
In general was a good talk however felt aimed at pointing people to the google eco-system.
Brilliant talk, I've always struggled with regex and actively done as much as possible to avoid using it. The information and tips that Liam provided helped to open my mind more to using regex where applicable. Especially loved the tip that Liam ended the talk on as this makes regex a lot easier to understand and I think it was the perfect way to end. Highly recommend that everyone gets to listen to this talk.
Fantastic talk that gives an overview of character encoding and how it affects the applications that we write. Also gave some great tips on how to best implement and make sure it works for our systems.
Great talk with a large amount of audience participation and a general lighthearted tone.
Brilliant talk. Helped massively as I have been working with PHPCS quite a bit lately on a project at work.
Had never really looked into BDD and DDD much before but this helped to give a brief overview of both and how they work together.
I agree with other commenters; there was a lot of generally good advice but not much of the actual nitty gritty. It would have been nice to see more examples. However, I did take away some ideas including the use of GraphQL for APIs (which I have heard of, but not heard why this would have been a good idea). Thank you.
