Nice way to kick off the conference. Interesting talk , lots too think about. Really enjoyed hearing about Carl Fisher, must read more about him.
Not a lot of material, as PHP 5.6 won't be a big release; but well presented and with some good examples.
There's not much that I'm likely to use - possibly variadics, but aside from "by reference" and "typehinting", it doesn't add much that can't be done using func_get_args() already; but a couple of interesting "heads up" for what might appear in PHP 5.7.
Plenty of good anecdotes and a good overall opening keynote: Jo may not have the style of a Cal Evans, but he has a passion that carried over well, and a clear message to tell which made his presentation engrossing
Great opening keynote, energetic and interesting. Anecdotes were all relevant and interesting!
Decent talk, with some technical problems in the beginning.
Would probably be good to give a brief overview / example of usage of DI for people unfamiliar with it.
Very enthusiastic speaker and there was plenty of good stuff to take in. Taking a bit of time to introduce/provide some background to the subject worked well and it was nice to have confirmation of existing thoughts in the main SOA content. Some occasional overly-quick speaking did make some points difficult to work out.
There were technical issues on the first part of the talk which broke up the flow. Stephan coped with this well and carried on to give an informative overview of several approaches and pitfalls of dependency management. Very clear and engaging speaker.
A great talk about DI, with interesting points on both implementation and some common pitfalls which are worth avoiding.
Would have been nice to have a little intro about DI frameworks, or a single slide about the basic DI containers.
Good talk, despite some technical problems at first. Confirmed some of my own thoughts on DI, which is good.
Great talk. Shame about the technology issues.
