I loved this talk! What a great new discovery this is for me and I will definitely research more of this.
This was packed with super useful knowledge!
Might be a bit fast for the amount of knowledge but great talk!
Even though I went into this knowing very little about ReactPHP, I felt I came away with the ability to start implementing code into our own codebase.
It was really well structured, with lots of examples that explained various of the different components, with the pace and style being just right for me.
Loved this session!
This is an important topic and can be very dry.
I think you did well to split it into 2 parts. Good job!
Enjoyable session from a very knowledgeable presenter. Lots of good stories and examples from real life of various security breaches and failures.
I think what would have improved it would be more hands on work, as it was billed as a workshop. Although we set up the virtual machine, it seemed like we didn't actually use it that much, but that was what I was most looking forward to getting out of the session.
Much respect to you for bringing your own story!
I would also add a little to the slides and turn the % maybe into graphics? Or add them as extra.
But very well researched, very well presented, great job!
High intensity but very useful - lots of tools being thrown out thick and fast - some of the slides were over before I would work out what I needed to make notes about. If I could make one suggestion: don't assume so much of your audience. You didn't explain what "CI server" meant (and because you'd mentioned CodeIgniter earlier I spent some time thinking you were referring to that at first), ditto Travis and yml.
This talk was wider ranging than I expected. Could have done with some more examples - maybe showing what sort of changes make how much difference?
Brilliant content and brilliantly presented, but at quite a breakneck pace! I will definitely review the slides for this one. Thanks!
I enjoy Tim's style of presenting, but this particular session felt to me like it missed some of what it could have delivered.
Firstly, there was no example application being built, even though the session description says there would be one. As a result, the session felt less practical than I'd expected.
Secondly, as it finished quite early, it would have been nice to see more of something like Symfony Console in action using that time, as Tim said that's a good framework for writing CLI apps. That would have probably left me feeling more equipped to develop better CLI apps myself.
I enjoyed learning about the PHAR files, as I'd not seen how to prepare them before.
Thanks Tim!
