Great informative talk on the current state of SPL. I kind of hoped to get a strong answer on the question that is the title of this talk :)

Good Talk! Small comment: use your full screen for some slides. People at the end of the room will find it easyer to read everything :)

Got some new insights into the possibilities of PHPCS. Great introduction if you're not yet working with PHPCS.

Good speaker, interesting setup. But the information and solutions are quite dated. As the speaker later mentioned that he gave it 1,5 years ago, that's centuries in docker land. However, if you want to use docker-compose, go have a look, it is an interesting talk from a good speaker.

@Bart All the examples (with the exception of demo5bis) can be used with maximum safeguards. It's only when you want to import custom packages (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/job-dsl-plugin/lYgX3boW0Pk)

All have to make that more clear in the future.

Thanks

Make the slides more interesting than simply stating what you are about to say. It is an interesting story, but place the actual technical topic more at the forefront of your slides. It was slow to start, and once it got interesting the presentation was over. It is an interesting topic though, and it would be well worth some more screen time, so keep at it!

Shame the examples can only be used while disabling the default safeguards. Might be interesting to see if there are better workarounds. Interesting talk nonetheless.

Sound advice. Don't expect advanced tips, but rather a nice overview of some personal experiences you can learn from to refactor your own code base.

One slide that stood out as one to rethink: "when not to refactor". There was quite some confusion about it afterwards, even after the explanation during Q&A. It's seldom about whether or not to do it, but about how to do it as best as possible, so take some time to clearly explain your point of view.
