I agree that some more time for examples would've been nice. But, as Joe pointed out, it's mainly the concept which matters. And IMHO that's been conveyed efficiently. Also, I loved Joe's young enthusiasm on stage.
Delivered what the abstract promised: a nice introduction on an interesting topic which Derick masters. See you tomorrow at the workshop!
Interesting talk on data structures, with useful hints and suggestions on things to avoid . A word of caution on premature optimization risk might've been useful for beginners. A good talk nevertheless, I've enjoyed it!
One of the best presentations on modern "web" architectures I have memory of. If you have a chance, just make sure you attend it. Terrific job, Alberto!
I've seen much damage done by things addressed by Giorgio, so hopefully presentations like this can increase awarness. In order to make it more appealing to people not familiar with this, it might've been useful to be more verbose on reasons behind suggestions. Cool, inspirational talk nevertheless.
Nice introductory talk to PHP extensions, nicely presented, just the right amount of information to get excited about tomorrow's workshop (and further PHP ext development).
