Talk comments

Interesting concept of talking from a future perspective. Could have been a little slower pace to help us follow the narratives but a great way to tell stories and postulate about the future of AI. Subtle jokes throughout sometimes worked but sometimes were a little too subtle and got lost. Aim to stand still or pace less while talking, it gave a false impression of nervousness and lack of practice, which clearly wasn't the case.

Good code examples, clear and easy to follow. Spoke too quietly so difficult to hear but the pace of delivery was good. Overall a nice broad intro to a CMS/framework iv not heard of before.

Nice use of audience engagement. I couldn't hear you very well.
I liked the clarity of the code examples and screenshots! The admin GUI gif could have been more zoomed in, but the code next to it was great.
Nice and informative, I have a better idea what I could use SilverStripe and how I would go about it!
I would have liked a pros/cons of the templating stuff, or why they decided to make it like that. Good food for thought!
Nice to know about the usage.
Thank you!!

Great gif screencasts and code snippets, they were clear and easy to read.

You were a bit quiet at some points. I think looking at the laptop rather than the screen would help you face the audience and project your voice more.

Great insight into silverstripe. Because of how simple it is, Im tempted to use it on a project to two. ;)

I'd have like to have seen the video(s) a little larger.

For Phil's first talk, he was a little quiet, but something that can be practiced (we all get nervous when talking to a room of people)

Interesting ideas, I liked the debate format with both sides given equal time.

I think it would have been good to put less on each slide and have more of them, to make the information easier to absorb and consider.

A great talk about rubbish code, some great examples and points given. It would have been great to see potentially some of his own code, as self reflection is a good thing (even I show my rubbish code off and how I learnt from it)

First up: great title. Looking dapper.
Nicely not just reading off the slide! I would have liked you to echo the points in your narrative a bit more, though. I think you can swear on stage.
I like the lack of blame in your talk, it's important to me.
Well done!!!

Clear and confident delivery. Asking some great questions and taking a bigger picture look at code quality, will certainly change the way people think about code reviews

Would not have thought it was your first time doing a talk, delivery and projection was excellent.

I liked the idea that “there is no MVP of a developer” and think it would be good to expand on that
