I'd encourage you to update your opening benchmarks to use MySQLi instead of the dated MySQL.
The demo was really impressive, I have used Redis in production and it is really that easy to get going
Great coverage of the N+1 problem and solution.
You don't have to agree with Ed, but you can clearly see his logic laid out in front of you. Mo code mo problems
Much props! Loved the enthusiastic presentation, and then so much more for putting in the extra effort for top-notch slides, non-gratuitous geek jokes & (working) live demo available on GitHub!
Very good presentation, I really enjoyed the theme of the slideshow. Justin was personable and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend his presentation.
Very informative. Eli was great at answering questions and was very knowledgeable on the topic.
I really enjoyed both presentations. Both Jake and Daniel were very well versed in the technologies and answered questions knowledgeably. Their personable approach and obvious skills helped make their presentation smooth and enjoyable.
Good talk, was appearant he knew the subject well. Some speaking points, I had a harder time hearing when you turned to look at the slide and talked to it rather than to the audiance. Also, the contrast on the charts was insufficient given the projector and lighting for me to make much out during the demo, might be nice to alter the setup before the demo to make this clearer for the projector setup in the future.
This was great. I was thunderstruck by the performance benchmarks within the first several slides about benchmarking the under layers of your app. Then I emailed my former employer with some insight about how to lose an order of magnitude from the blog comment system I built there...
