Good introduction to Hack
Pretty solid session. Would attend again.
Very informative and a lot of fun. Implementing this into our current workflow will be difficult but the workshop provided some insight into moving towards applying the skills learned into my work environment.
My hands-on group was awesome. I'm of course biased because they bought into my pitch of Tinder for Cats as our exercise focus...
At first I was frustrated by the limited time for the exercises, until I realized that if I could accomplish the exercises in the time allotted, I didn't need the workshop to begin with.
I came there to learn strategies for testing legacy code and thinking in TDD moving forward. This workshop provided that knowledge. I'm looking forward to applying them to my work and personal code bases.
I think that Anna was an excellent speaker, and was evident that she was passionate about what she does and is very good at it. I was personally hoping for more in-depth information for mitigating breaches and protecting yourself from it as much as possible (bullet proof security doesn't exist, I know). It just seemed like a lot of the info were things that I already knew and am doing (salting, ssh keys, password managers, etc)
Sebastian did a great job. Was quite eye opening to see the usage of PHP 7 in the wild vs older versions. Also was comforting to hear that migration and support is easy and available, much moreso that when it was in pre-release.
I thought Danese did a great job as a keynote speaker, and has a TON of experience to draw from. I would love to sit down and chat with her about her life and career experiences.
To be honest, it was a little more simplistic that I was hoping for. I may have had more experience with hash and encryption algos that some of the others, but it covered ground I figured out myself years ago.
Chris did a great job and provided an excellent training! He also was so kind as to follow up with an email containing links, slides, and additional info that was discussed during the training class.
Good explanation of screen readers and how ARIA attributes make the experience better.
