Good introduction to the subject. As a follow up I'd like to see how a developer could mix science and technology to actually solve the problem.
Great talk - spoken very well. For me it was a bit much to take in all at once though.
Interesting idea. I think it might be a fit for something we don't do particularly well where I work.

The name of the talk is very appealing. Unfortunately the direction it took was more '30 tools and frameworks you should use/favour to pass an interview at my company'. The soft skills, design patterns and way we develop solutions in teams was much more what i'd have expected.
I seriously hope that nobody walks away from this talk assuming they're a bad developer because they use Symfony over Laravel - every framework has it's purpose, and the choice comes down to the project at hand and the team dynamics.
Whilst I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, i feel it's important we don't as a community hate on other frameworks or languages, as we often see the innovations that new frameworks bring being adopted by others.
This opinion is something shared across speakers in the javascript community at present. Hopefully we can prevent any further elitism within the PHP world. Save that for people FTP'ing files around & git pulling on their prod servers.
Whilst protesting in my mind against everything that was being said, i felt the talk was delivered well.
Great introduction to feature flags, their many uses, and some shortcomings of the standard implementations. The introduction to Swivel and some of the metrics & AB testing features was also great. Hopefully inspiring those in the audience to use feature flags more.
Great introduction to ElasticSearch. The 3 hour format allowed for greater in depth exploration of the topic.
It was a great introduction and I learned a few bits I had not encountered yet. I would have liked a bit more hands on work, especially with Swarm which we were asked to download beforehand.
Garry always knows how to put a smile on my face, even when the topic is as something as (purely-) technical as step through debugging. Interactions with the crowd was a delight. Would attend again.
Great talk. Not what I expected. This talk turned out to be the best TDD & Refactoring talk that I've seen. Just watching the real time demo you can really grasp the usefulness of TDD and how it can speed up your development and make you confident of the outcomes of your code.
