I loved your overview of security in general. I primarily attended the talk to compare my current mindset, and was delighted to see how much already lined up. I have always believed that a good security mindset requires P^2. Proactive and Paranoia. Though its not truly paranoia when they really are out to get your systems. Your breakdown of Risk, Threat, Vulnerability was great. R=T*V

Excellent keynote that really made me reflect. Especially the trips down memory lane every MAME ROM slide that came up. Thank you for dispelling some of my fear on contributing back to open source projects I use. Your story of becoming a Zend Contributor inspired me to get out the shallow end of the FOSS pool and go use the diving board.

Loved seeing how the Symfony console could be used to quickly create some awesome automation. I use to have a T-Shirt that read, "Go Away before I replace you with a small shell script". After I left your talk I was thinking, "Damn I can replace myself with a small Symfony console script."

I really appreciated all your insights into time management. You opened my eyes to some very bad habits I have that are adding undue stress, that are 100% my fault. Which means it is 100% within my powers to change that. Many of the concepts you covered I am already workin' at implementing into my routine. Thank you!
Interesting look into an alternate dimension. I feel bad for the inhabitants of Earth 2 that never had the experience of PHP. At least they got Python, so it's not all bad. My heart goes out to the Earth that is FOSSless. That is truly a hell I would wish on no one. I would of liked to see some more inferences made for Javascript however. It would interesting to infer how much of its lead is from people who develop primarily in another language, but also develop in javascript cause of the front end that interfaces with their app (browsers).
Absolutely loved your talk. Your use of humor to temper the normally dry subject of debugging was wonderful. At my place of employment I am one of those unscable unicorns. I'll be using notes from your talk to teach the "gut instincts" to the rest of the team when they come to ride the unicorn.
Loved the examples. Love that you share the same angst for the naming conventions mysql chose for EXPLAINs output that I do. You helped me wrap my head around a few parts I always found confusing due to that very issue.
I've used streams from time to time in rare cases. Your talked opened my eyes to all the places I should be using them, but aren't. I loved the bits about the various callbacks we can attach/hook to our streams. Would of loved to see a few concrete examples of this.
I was always fascinated with BCI. I'd catch the occasional documentary on the subject, but never realized there was an entire open source community growing around the subject. Not only for the software but the hardware as well! Mind totally blown. Thank you for the eye opener.
Your passion was infectious. I left with a completely new outlook on the subject. Brain diseases like Parkinson's run in my family. I have seen the horrible symptoms of these diseases trapping victims within their own bodies firsthand. Seeing what is currently possible with the technology to not only "read" but also "write", and how it can treat these diseases. Totally awe inspiring.
