Talk comments

Difficult subject and ambitious goal but it pretty much delivered. Radan had a nice tempo, was expressive and did a good job of backing up his points. For example, why not to always blindly keep everything DRY was a good one.

Would like if the explanations were covered a bit more by real-life examples, which he as a Toptal lead engineer he must have a ton of.

Excellent talk!

Tempo of the talk was very fast but the speaker's audibility, expressiveness and good english made it really easy to follow. Live demo + coding + mastery of the subject is always a win in my book.
Also, answers after the talk were clear and unequivocal.
Personal favorite, great stuff!

Really great and inspiring talk by Graham! Not only his talk but his story itself is amazing. It was interesting to hear comments after this talk too. It was delivered to the right audience.

Disclaimer: I'm not a developer, so I cannot comment on the topic itself because I don't know much about the technologies discussed. The talk was entertaining (I suppose you can't go wrong with funny GIFs), and the presenter was very well prepared. Plus, listening to that British accent is pure joy :))

Highly relevant talk for this community. I think it pushed a lot of people's buttons, mine included! Helpful, practical implementation tips made this more than just preaching about the dangers of multitasking and poor relationships with technology.

The talk was pretty much everything I expected. Turns out that the challenges of being in a management position are very similar to the challenges of freelancers/small businesses owners. Great insights about the team dynamics and company culture. A highly valuable talk for every ambitious developer.

Very good talk on the issues, something that will hopefully open up some eyes in out small community and make us better people & colleagues.

With the broken presentation font (due to keynote2pdf exporting) it was visible that it bothered Graham too and that smoothness and the flow possibly suffered from it :( .

I know it's not an easy talk to do, but I would prefer keynotes to be a bit more empowering/motivating that this one was.

Really good talk, Radan spoke from experience and about how they have battled it. Cool mix of DDD, SOLID and other principles to help it out.

Speaker had really good stage presence, very good english and was very passionate on the topic.

Great talk with a coverage on a lot of technologies and concepts but it provoked an afterthought - a question on what is the cost of having setup like this and having it constantly improved with all the infrastructure and constant thinking, planning and making design decisions to keep pushing without braking backwards compatibility. Sometimes a 30-40 min production downtime seems cheaper than a 30-40 day migration plan by 2-3 senior engineers which could be used to create features.

Epic presentation and superhuman ability to do a live demo & coding all while talking without hesitation and insecurities.

I wished I could have seen the examples of interaction and / or embedding of a 3rd party module (different language, runtime, service or whatnot)
