A very good intro to how document databases work in general, and pros/cons of them, without being a 'sales pitch' for a specific document database.

A good intro to document databases. Matthew went a bit fast through the slides, but I'd imagine they'll be posted online. I'd very much enjoy a more in-depth presentation on document databases in the future, either by MWO or someone else.

This was a great class. Learned more than I want to know about caching. I really enjoyed the hands on experience and the slides did a great job of illuminating the information that was given.
Stefan covered some of the issues that people will encounter when they move from relational to object databases, such as php's per-request nature. This made it a refreshing talk that takes a different approach than the many 'this is how to use mongo db' talks out there.
