Great talk, kept my attention despite it being a pretty technical subject first thing in the morning!
Great example of how powerful the Zend stack can be to create mobile applications. But as others have noted, the technical issues with the demo distracted the audience from the content.
I believe that having a smooth presentation is a choice. You must choose to have it completed well in advance so you can prepare the environment well in advance. Julien came in late, started late, had technical issues, and ended late, most likely due to last minute tweaks to the demo app and the content. I feel like this is a universal theme throughout all of Zendcon, and my only real criticism of the conference as a whole.
But kudos to Julien for the work he put into it and the Zend team for creating a fantastic mobile solution.
Thanks guys!
Good talk. Engaging speaker with passion for the subject. Real world experience in SOA showed.
Throughly enjoyed and found insightful
Great talk! Not terribly grumpy afterall. Looking forward to using behat.
Great talk and intro to DDD. I think you really captured the core essence of it. The only thing I'd change is even more emphasis that as the developer's knowledge of the domain grows, new insights into the true nature of the problem will allow for a better domain model. So to have a better domain model, access to your customers (domain experts) needs to be setup to allow for constant collaboration.
Thanks for the great talk.
Great talk, very entertaining. I feel like there were a lot of good strategies discussed and I liked the approach of looking at the 7 obstacles that keep us from automating tests.
Very entertaining talk and I learned a lot about testing and the tools used.
I felt that there may have been too much content for the time allotted. The speaker also when through things pretty quickly, so I got lost about halfway through. I did appreciate the thorough examples and I think I could implement this after reviewing the slides and playing around a bit.
