Great talk about giving people a high level look into Dependency Injection with ZF2 and giving them some useful resources for getting started.
This was an incredibly informative presentation with a significant amount of data-driven analysis and reporting of real-world examples (I loved that you used the ZendCon site along with other developer favorites like slashdot & zend).
Another great highlight were a few specific examples of how to deal with unique identifiers for JS & CSS file assets to ensure ease when setting expiration headers. I'd heard of the timestamp approach, but the nginx idea of loading the file name using it's available re-write mechanisms (which I suppose would also be available for Apache, though perhaps not quite as fast....)
Did a great job getting everyone re-engaged after the break for lunch where it's sometimes difficult to bring everyone back into the topic. Continued an already engaging talk and finished extremely strong with great information.
I knew that DI is important, and I was sort of familiar with ZF2's service manager. I feel like prior to this talk I was just muddling my way through the configuration of the service manager, and doing a sort of halfway DI. The talk was a great overview of how to do DI right, specifically in ZF2 apps. I'm way more confident now using the service manager and all the other service locators in ZF2.
Christian is a fantastic speaker and did a phenomenal job of keeping everyone engaged throughout the PHP Certification Bootcamp sessions. The information he provided was fantastic along with bringing good working examples.
Fantastic info. Great tps and tricks!!
Great talk, glad to see so many links to tools and articles.
Could work more on speaker presentation and articulation. Difficult to understand at times. Also, please have your slides proofread and edited for grammatical mistakes.
