Johan actually live coded a Joomla extension in 45 minutes in his session! He explained step by step from setup of the environments and the tools he used to the functionality and views. This session displayed the speed Nooku provides in custom extension building. Nice pacing and good job on parsing down technical information for the novice developer.
Really nice overview, some good points on why apigility and others use the separation they do like entities etc.
A beginners guide to Behat and PHPSPec. Beeing new to the subject the level of the talk was perfect. I would have liked a slide showing the generated PHPSpec code though :)
Great session on Twig! The slides were very clear and Margaret covered a lot of information, but reviewed key points throughout the session so it didn't feel overwhelming. I feel like I definitely have a better grasp on Twig and am excited to get started.
I learned so much from this talk, it was great! Was a completely new concept for me, but he provided several great examples of code smells that indicate you should use the State Pattern, and I could immediately see where in my project it would help. Great job!
I'm excited for the future of ZF. Excellent talk covering some of the history of Zend Framework, how things were changed, fixed and improved and the future ideas and philosophy of frameworks (of not having frameworks as such). After ~17 years of coding PHP, I'm excited by what's coming to the language and the ecosystem.
Great talk! I really like the domain first approach and the real world example with Poker. I'm rating it 4* just because the talk was supposed to build a microframework on top of ZF3 not a business oriented application. Otherwise the content was technical and interesting. Good job!
