I would suggest having setup instructions posted before the session starts so attendees have time to verify their environment is working before the tutorial starts.

As someone who has never been exposed to laravel before I found it difficult to perform the hands on portion. The introduction to each section was very good, but I am not able to remember unfamiliar commands when it was my turn to run them. I would suggest having a handout or pdf reference.

The presentation portions were very good.

This was an interesting introduction to middleware as someone who is not familiar with it.

Additional information on the pros/cons to the zf style controllers would be useful

I enjoyed this session. We had a similar situation happen that Patrick described here at work. Thankfully (at the time) I wasnt the person who took on the manager role, though that doesnt mean I may need to in the future.
